First the good news!
1. My personal website is up. It's still a work in progress, but most of it is done:

[link]I've reapplied to teach the class again in September. Hopefully it will be approved.
If you want to take the class, or any other class at Hogwarts Online for that matter, new student sign-ups begin on August 1.

Why am I a little disappointed? Well, I journal here on DeviantArt and I give out personal information on my personal website, my IMDB profile, and on my MySpace, facebook, and Twitter pages. So I don't bother with my Live Journal and Insane Journal accounts. I basically don't have ANYTHING on either of those. So I haven't made any friends there. Because I haven't made any friends there, some people signed up to be beta readers and cheerleaders for Severus Snape's Big Bang Birthday Bash before I did, yet I don't have any takers and some people met their quota right away. On one hand, I can see why - they don't know much about me because I don't post on my Live Journal or Insane Journal. On the other hand, I gave them a huge detailed introduction, and I've made my websites and HOL class available for their perusal, as well as links to the reviews I've written which were published in the Official Slytherin House newspaper, The Serpentimes (
[link]). No one has friended me on Live Journal or Insane Journal since. I even contacted someone on Live Journal asking her to friend me, and I gave her a big detailed introduction of myself and she noted back to me that my note read like a resume. I kind of feel like there's no pleasing the people on Live Journal and Insane Journal and that they're a closed clique. Why they're like this I'm not sure, because I've never seen so much personal information just thrown out there for everyone to see as I do on those two websites. I guess it all has to do with an individual's level of comfort, and obviously these people are more comfortable exposing themselves on those two sites than anywhere else. Anyways, I anticipate dropping out of Severus Snape's Big Bang Birthday Bash due to lack of interest (in me) and just getting rid of my stupid and useless accounts with Live Journal and Insane Journal. But I really am only a little disappointed. I'm disappointed not in what I am losing, which is nothing. I am disappointed in what I couldn't gain. Just wanted to rant about it here because at least here someone will read it!
For those of you who are my friends here on DeviantArt, I don't think I thank you enough. I must do that more often. I will start now. Thank you!
